Acquisition of VRLA battery manufacturing facility
The Board of Directors of WESTA ISIC S.A. (the "Company") hereby informs that the Company has started construction of VRLA battery manufacturing facility, in line with previously announced plans. To implement the project the Company, through its subsidiary, has signed a contract with EU-based equipment supplier for the total amount of USD 20.4 million and made a USD 10 million prepayment. Full payment is scheduled to be completed within the next 6 months. The new facility is set to be commissioned in 2012.
